Steve Fryer - General Manager

I became part of the NZDDA team in 2007 when I took on the Northland territory which covers the area between Wellsford and Cape Reinga.  Prior to this I had spent 14 years in the New Zealand Police where I served in  West Auckland, Auckland Central and then later returning to our home town of Whangarei.  During my time in the police I served as a Front line Officer, Team Policing member, Northland AOS Squad member and AOS team leader/Tactical Commander, Fire Arms Instructor, Liquor Licensing Officer and Uniformed Sergeant.

During my time in the police I witnessed firsthand the damage that drugs and alcohol can have on society.  I am fully committed to providing a professional service that will help organisations build a safer and more productive work environment. 

I enjoy living and working in Northland.  I am married to Sharon, and we have two fantastic teenage children.  During my spare time I am a local scout leader and when time and weather permit I like to head out to the coast, where my son and I enjoy fishing, spearfishing and boating in general.
