Tania Martin - General Manager 
I served 22 years with the New Zealand Police, predominantly in the South Auckland area, the last eleven as a detective attached to the Auckland Drug and Organised Crime Squads, predominantly involved with investigating the importation, manufacture and distribution of controlled drugs. I was also a member of the National Clandestine Laboratory Response Team (CLANLAB). I resigned from the New Zealand Police in 2008.
I joined the NZDDA team in February 2009 and immediately loved the challenge of running my own business while having the support of the NZDDA group. I enjoy meeting people and networking and joined the Taupo branch of the Her Business Network.
In 2010 I entered the Taupo Her Business awards and won the ‘Sustainability’ category. I later entered the national Her Businesswoman of the Year Awards and was a finalist in the ‘Best New Business’ category.
My partner Cam joined NZDDA in November 2010 and we are now operating the Hawke’s Bay branch of NZDDA, dividing our time between the two locations, with the assistance of our Taupo Operations Manager, Lance Cooper.
You will hopefully find me out on a golf course when not working.
Cam Shaw, QSM - Business Development Manager 
I joined The New Zealand Drug Detection Agency (NZDDA) in November 2010 after 14 ½ years of service with the New Zealand Police. I commenced my policing career in West Auckland before moving to the Ruapehu Area in early 2001 where I was promoted to Detective Sergeant, Officer in Charge of the Ruapehu Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
In 2008, my partner Tania and I moved to the Taupo area where I worked as the Area Intelligence Manager and Tania commenced the Taupo Branch of NZDDA. I received my Queen Service Medal (QSM) for public services in 2007.
I have a Graduate Diploma of Criminal Intelligence (GradDipCrimIntel) and a Masters of Strategic Studies (MSS). The university study has given me extensive knowledge in strategic planning, assessments and thinking, policy, knowledge management, intelligence and risk management. As BDM and co-director of NZDDA Hawke’s Bay and Taupo, I enjoy working with and supporting companies as they move forward in establishing not only safe workplaces but also safe communities in these regions.
Lance Cooper - Operations Manager 
My partner and I previously lived in Auckland where I had been working in the Information Technology industry for the past fifteen years. We decided to move south for a “change of lifestyle” and so in March of 2007 we moved to Taupo. Having been office bound in our previous roles we decided to do something a bit different and bought into a lawn mowing franchise and set about establishing that within the Taupo district. After three very successful years we elected to sell the business and to look at other opportunities. That opportunity arose in the form of NZDDA in July 2010, when I joined the team. I believe the next couple of years will see NZDDA cement its position as a leader in the industry and one that I am passionate to be a part of.
Outside of work I have been with the NZ Fire Service as a volunteer fire fighter based here in Taupo for the past four years. I am also I have been told “addicted” to basketball. Having played for the past thirty five years both in New Zealand and stints overseas I am now involved in administration and coaching. 2010 was a busy basketball year as I was coaching U13 Boys, U19 Mens and also Secondary Schools teams. I am also a Certified Boat Master and enjoy taking time out to enjoy a little fishing both on the lake and sea.
