In December 2009 I joined the NZDDA team and I believe I bring a wealth of experience from my time in the Police and more recently the private sector to the group.
I joined the New Zealand Police in 1989 where I was stationed at the Takapuna Police Station on Aucklands’ North Shore. My duties there included front line policing, Team Policing and C.C.U investigation roles. After a period of leave without pay, travelling overseas I again returned to Takapuna before transferring to Auckland Central and undertaking a role as Intelligence Analyst with the Criminal Intelligence Section.
This was followed by four years with Witness Protection and V.I.P protection before taking promotion to the far north where I was a Sectional Sergeant in Kaikohe.
I returned to my families home town of Gisborne in 2003, again as a front line Sergeant before leaving the Police and commencing business in the photographic retail sector.
I have completed 11 university papers towards a Bachelor of Business Studies and intend to continue with my studies.
