Urine Testing
Urine testing may indicate the use of drugs by an employee, a sufficient time before the recommencement of work, use at work or usage of drugs outside of work hours by the employee therefore allowing you the employer to identify those employees who are at risk of being impaired at work because of there drug use and therefore a potenial hazard in the workplace.
In March 2008 the AS/NZS 4308:2008 was released and NZDDA worked hard throughout 2008 to comply with this standard and we acheived this in January 2009 when we became the first fully compliant
on-site drug screening provider in New Zealand. But we did not stop there and in August 2010 NZDDA was formally recognised by International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ) as meeting internationally accepted standards of quality, performance, technical expertise and competence making NZDDA the only (IANZ) accredited on-site collecting agency under the AS/NZS4308:2008 in New Zealand.

NZDDA has a urine screening product which has verification under Appendix B of the AS/NZS 4308:2008 standard and we believe this device is the best on the market for quick and reliable identification of ‘at risk’ employees in the workplace.
Being fully compliant to the AS/NZS 4308:2008 also involves NZDDA having to conduct daily controls at each collecting site as well as controls on every subsequent 25 tests conducted. So your company can be assured that the drug testing NZDDA is conducting is in strict accordance with Appendix “A” of the Standard.
Urine testing is now well established, with the greatest range of detectable drugs and the biggest database of non-reacting substances. Its detection window of around a week is ideal for most screening, and is especially recommended for pre-employment testing.
